Privacy and Cookies Policy

As Psychic Shelly, I am committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to my website and users of my service. Here you’ll find information on how I treat data that I collect from visitors to my website, when someone submits a form or books a reading.

Visitors to my Website

When someone visits psychicshelly.com I use third party software, Matomo, hosted by SiteE@se, my web developer, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. I do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is anonymised and processed in a way which does not identify anyone. I do not make, and do not allow SiteE@se to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting my Website. You can find more information on how cookies are used on my Website in the Cookies Policy below. Please also see the SiteE@se privacy notice.

If I do need to collect personally identifiable information through my website, I will be up front about this. I will make it clear when I collect personal information and will explain what I intend to do with it.

Using My Contact Form

To make it easy for visitors to email me I have a contact form on my website. Through this I receive visitor names and email addresses. I use that information to respond to requests, queries and comments that visitors may make. This information is not stored on the website. It is sent in standard email format to me and processed using standard email software such as Outlook.

Leaving Me a Review (Testimonial)

When you leave a review on my Testimonials page I collect your name and email address. Your name is published alongside the review. Your email address is purely to allow me to get in touch with you if there is something about your experience with my service that would be important for me to follow up. It will never be published or shared with third parties. Optionally you may also provide brief details about you and/or your location to add interest and relevance to the published review. You may request that your review and the data it contains is unpublished or deleted by emailing me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Booking a Reading

When you book a reading you will be asked to provide some or all of the following, depending on the type of reading, which may be by phone, text or email. This includes name, email address, phone number, address and date of birth. An enhanced version of my privacy policy is available to review and agree prior to the booking being finalised.

Links to Other Websites

This privacy notice does not cover any links within this site linking to other Websites. This Privacy Policy does not govern those sites, and if you have questions about how a site uses your information, you’ll need to check that site’s privacy statement.

Cookies Policy

I use a system of classifying the different types of cookies which I use on the website, or which may be used by third parties through my websites. The classification was developed by the International Chamber of Commerce UK and explains more about which cookies I use, why I use them, and the functionality you will lose if you decide you don't want to have them on your device.

What is a cookie?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your personal computer, mobile or other device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognises that cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user's device.

How long are cookies stored for?

Persistent cookies - these cookies remain on a user's device for the period of time specified in the cookie. They are activated each time that the user visits the Website that created that particular cookie.
Session cookies - these cookies allow website operators to link the actions of a user during a browser session. A browser session starts when a user opens the browser window and finishes when they close the browser window. Session cookies are created temporarily. Once you close the browser, all session cookies are deleted.

Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improve the user experience.
You can find more information about cookies at www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronlinechoices.eu.
